Even though it’s only mid-January, today I really got into the mood to plan some spring projects for our household.
Nevermind all the laundry waiting for me right now in the laundry room…I have crafts to plan! LOL
I started today’s mission with spring flower crafts in mind, but now that I think better about it, I realize I should include some butterfly and rainbow crafts because my girls LOVE those two themes.
I think my 6-year-old draws at least 5 rainbows every week!
Free Printable Stencils for Spring Crafts
As always I’m putting my finds in a roundup post in case any other moms find these useful. There’s no need for us all to conduct the same Google searches over and over again, right?!
I’ve vetted the sites below and did not experience any intrusive popups or malware installations (problems you can sometimes run across in the hunt for free printables online).
Printable Butterfly Patterns: Large Templates to Cut Out
Large Butterfly Stencils – For any crafts that require a really huge butterfly, I found a full page butterfly printable on the Activity Village website.
Pretty Butterfly Template – FirstPalette.com has a nice selection of lovely butterfly templates. I think the large butterflies that print on a full page are particularly nice for coloring activities.
Four Leaf Clover Stencils to Print Out
I am one of those people who can NEVER find four leaf clovers. I bet I spent hours upon hours searching for them in my childhood and probably found five total!
Needless to say, I kind of have an obsession about them. Since I can’t find them, I figured I could make some 4 cleaf clover templates of my own! Click on the image below to access these stencils.
Large, Medium, and Small Four Leaf Clovers
4-Leaf Clover Made of Heart Shapes – Another option that I’m particularly fond of is taking 4 hearts and gluing or taping them together. And I just posted some of my very own heart templates last month! I have several different options depending on how big you want your clovers to be, but I really like the “12 Cute Hearts” template for this because they make rounded leaves.
Printable Rainbow Templates for Crafts, Projects, Coloring Pages
Last, but not least, here are three sets of rainbow printables any little girl age 2 to 12 will love. I think I might even print one of these out and join in on the coloring fun. There’s something so relaxing about coloring sometimes! :=)
Extra Large Rainbow Template – Here is an extra large rainbow perfect for little ones to color. I especially like the simple ones with the clouds at either end of the rainbow – super cute! They remind me of being a child. :=)
Rainbows to Print & Cut Out – BigActivities.com has an excellent selection of rainbow printables, from ones with clouds and pots of gold to plain ones perfect for cutting out.
I hope you like these butterflies, clovers, and rainbows as much as I do. Happy spring crafting & coloring!
