This week I got a little inspiration to put out some quick tip posts that help moms jump-start their weight loss journeys. Most of the advice I offer is intense – no excuses, make a plan, long-term advice.
I’m changing my ways and will begin posting some quick tips along with the more detailed posts.
Without further ado, here is a quick list of 4 things you can do RIGHT NOW that only take 5 MINUTES EACH that will make you skinnier & healthier starting today!
Get up and do them RIGHT NOW. Kids can bust these things out like nobody’s business on a whim, and they’re usually fit! Why can’t you? If you have to, do them in sets of 25, but don’t stop until you’ve done 100. If 100 is too easy for you, do 250! That’s easy for no one! :=)
Set up your profile so you are ready to start logging your food and exercise tomorrow morning. Tracking the food you eat is key to sustained weight loss. I used Weight Watchers and MyFitnessPal over the last 13 months to lose a total of 55 lbs!
Choose the #1 most delicious thing in there that’s bad for you. The thing that calls your name at 9 p.m. The type of food you can’t say no to. Something you crave on a daily basis and can’t imagine not eating tomorrow. JUST DO IT. The immediate pain is only temporary, but the bad calories you will save going forward are eternal.
If you don’t have anything healthy on hand, make the best choices you can, leaning toward protein over carbohydrates. Then pencil in plans to go to the grocery store ASAP!
Have you heard of the penny challenge? It’s an easy way to save up $600 a year, starting with a literal penny! The next time you see a penny in the streets, you’ll definitely stop and pick it up once you see what you can do with the money saved in this 52 weekKeep Reading
Today I have something lovely to share with you – a free printable Bible verse coloring page of Psalm 136:26! I just LOVE meditating on the Lord’s word and I find that I can concentrate best when I have something to write on. Sometimes I even create my OWN coloring pages during sermonsKeep Reading
Today I have the neatest thing to share with you!! I’ve been wanting to create this gift idea for the blog for quite some time, but I never got around to it because I always make these gifts at the last minute! Then I forget to take pics. This year I got my act togetherKeep Reading
Finding toys for smart kids is a challenge because they often get bored with toys that are age-recommended. So in this post I’m gonna suggest some toys that your intelligent child or grandchild might like! One of the greatest things about children is that they love learning! They thrive on toys and gamesKeep Reading
