No Bake Cookie Dough Truffles

Ingredients
  

  • 1/3 cup butter softened
  • 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips
  • 2 Tablespoons sea salt optional
  • Chocolate dip:
  • 2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon shortening

Method
 

  1. Blend the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes.
  2. Add in the vanilla and beat again.
  3. Slowly mix in the flour until fully incorporated.
  4. Add the chocolate chips, adding more or less to your preference.
  5. Roll the cookie dough into balls and place in the freezer for 10 minutes.
  6. Melt the chocolate chips and shortening for the dip in the microwave, heating for 30 seconds and then stirring to check the consistency.
  7. Remove the cookie dough balls from the freezer and dip into the chocolate mixture to coat completely.
  8. Set the cookie dough truffles on a lined baking sheet to dry and allow the chocolate to set. Sprinkle with sea salt before the chocolate is set, if desired.
