I can’t believe it’s already time to think about Father’s Day. Last year, I almost forgot to buy a gift because Father’s Day snuck up on me.
This year, I vow to plan ahead!
So I’m brainstorming a list of Father’s Day gift ideas for my husband.
He’s an active guy who likes the outdoors and doing fun things with the family. I’m trying to think of gifts that he would appreciate and actually USE (because ya’ll know I’m too frugal to get something impractical!). 🙂
10 Father’s Day Gift Ideas for Active Dads
Here’s a list of 10 Things I think my husband (or any active dad) would truly like and actually use quite often.
I hope you can find some inspiration in this list!
- New pair of tennis shoes – Every active dad needs proper footwear. What better excuse to go shoe shopping?
- Nice dress shirt – I love it when my husband looks spiffy for church and formal functions. Father’s Day is a great time to inspect his closet and make sure he has something amazing to wear to on special days.
- Pocket knife – Every many needs a shiny pocket knife to carry around – you know, for all the things that need cutting!
- Fishing pole – My husband is starting to take our kids fishing, so a nice new pole is in order!
- Book on his wishlist – Either paper or Kindle will work just fine. Find something you know he’ll enjoy on work trips or just while relaxing.
- Poncho – Every active dad will eventually get caught in a rainstorm on an outdoor adventure. Make sure he’s prepared for that situation.
- Grilling utensils – My husband LOVES to grill out. Doesn’t every husband? Make sure he’s properly armed for the grilling season with some nice new utensils like a large metal fork and grill brush. Maybe even a vegetable grilling skillet so you can also benefit.
- Water bottle – Make sure your husband is hydrated on all of his adventures.
- Heavy duty socks – my husband wears heavy shoes when he’s working or playing outside.
- Polarized sunglasses – everyone can use a pair of these!
I hope you are able to find some inspiration from this list of Father’s Day gift ideas.
