I wanted to take this opportunity to tell you a story because today is a special day. If you’ve been my blogging friend for a while, you’ll know that I’m a hardcore supporter of Elite Blog Academy. On Monday, February 27th, the cart opens for annual registration.
You may not know this, but I decided to take Elite Blog Academy (or EBA) when I was already making between $6,000 – $9,000 per month on my blog and working approximately 35 hours per week on it.
I thought I was doing great
This was last spring. I thought I had everything all figured out and that I just needed to keep work even harder to see better results going forward.
What I didn’t realize was that what I had created was not a business, but a JOB. I had to be present to earn income. I was stressed out more days than not because I didn’t feel like I could commit enough hours to maintaining my blog in addition to being a mom, and I also felt like I didn’t have a reliable enough income to hire someone regularly to work for me.
I was sort of spinning my wheels in this “almost making it” stage and didn’t know how to get myself unstuck. And I felt like I was chained to my computer even when I didn’t want to be – it definitely was NOT my ideal blogging scenario, but I didn’t know what to do next.
Enter: Elite Blog Academy
I took EBA after missing the registration date THREE times. It only opens once per year in February, and every single time it rolled around I said, “Nah, costs too much and can’t possibly be worth it.”
I almost didn’t take the chance
I didn’t believe I needed it, honestly! I was doing really well, after all, by anyone’s standards.
But something inside me said “Go for it. What do you have to lose? If it’s as good as everybody says, you will earn back your investment within a few months.”
So I did.
I enrolled in EBA in 2016 and started listening to the lessons a few times a week on my walk in the neighborhood. Let me tell you – from the 1st video lesson, I was TICKED. Not at Ruth, but for myself for not taking EBA sooner than I did!!!
I was hearing things that could have benefited me from day one, and it took me three years to get with the program and listen to all the reviews about the course.
I took the lessons seriously and started applying all of the concepts to my blog.
And you know what?
I learned that I had been working WAY TOO HARD all along! I was literally missing the building blocks of a great blog. I had just scrapped my way to $9K through a serious of scattered tactics layered onto a decent plan and a boatload of determination.
Once I flipped that upside down and started fixing my blog plan to reflect a solid strategy according to Ruth’s teachings, my income started to skyrocket. I knew I was onto something when I was able to hit a $13K month in late 2016 while working only 25 hours per week. Ten fewer hours per week than my average from earlier that year! It was an amazing feeling.
Late last year I was also able to hire my sister, and more recently, another VA to help me with everyday tasks so I can focus on the big picture. Bigger and bigger things are happening for me these days, and I can firmly say it all started when I changed my focus last year to figuring out my audience.
Once I focused on my audience, I never turned back.
I know what they want now! It’s a great feeling to be able to sit down with my email newsletter and write the emails that I know people want to read. I know what blog posts to write because my audience told me. I know where to get advice when I get stuck because I have my tribe of Elite Blog Academy girls to back me up. And I know they have all taken the same training as me and have good ideas to offer!
SO MANY bloggers have had tremendous success with EBA that I know it’s not a fluke. The EBA framework works. It just does. Here are some testimonials from some bloggers you probably known, including me! 😀
My Secret Mission
If you aren’t in my Facebook group for bloggers, Adventures in Blogging, you might not know this yet, but I am actually IN the videos of EBA 3.0!
In November, I flew to Seattle, along with 15 other bloggers in my EBA VIP Mastermind group, to be in the filming. That’s actually when I filmed my testimonial on the success stories page.
I spent three days getting to the see the behind the scenes inner workings of a real film production, and I also got to network with my fellow master minders in some of the most helpful brainstorming sessions I’ve ever participating in. It was so valuable, I felt like I went to 5 different blogging conferences rolled into one! I’ve been to many conferences and always get a ton of value from meeting other bloggers in person, but this event took the cake.
For example, I got to ask Tasha Agruso from Designer Trapped in a Lawyer’s Body all about taking my product from ebook to course, her thoughts on which platform to administer my course, and how she crafts her ahhhmazing sales emails!
I also go to ask Rosemarie Groner from the Busy Budgeter how to set up my Board Booster account using her special looping strategies and her thoughts on outsourcing email and other tasks to a virtual assistant, among other things.
We had so many diverse businesses represented there….none of us wanted the week to end! I gave AND learned so much…I left full of inspiration and ideas and gratefulness for this tribe of bloggers I’d just met in person.
If you have dreams of becoming a full time blogger or just want to make the same amount of money with a lot less work, then I hope you enroll in EBA.
The cart opens on Monday, February, 27th and closes on March 3rd.

It’s free to take, whether you sign up for EBA or not. There are 500 spots, although I don’t know exactly how many people have already registered to date. As of yesterday, I was still able to register. Good luck!
