One of my favorite gift ideas for my husband for Valentine’s Day, his birthday, and our anniversary, is to give him vouchers. He thinks they’re cool; I like that they’re meaningful.
12 Months of Date Night Ideas with Your Husband or Boyfriend
This year for Valentine’s Day I am giving him a set of date night vouchers as a sort of promise that we will regularly take time off of our jobs as mom and dad and just go out on a real date like we used to before we had kids. In fact, I would go so far as to say I think keeping up with regular dates with my husband makes me a much better mom!
I plan on writing down one idea per month on these vouchers and then as each month approaches, we will set a specific date and time to each date night. As a default, I think the 3rd weekend of the month will be a great recurring weekend to aim for.
Here are 12 ideas I am going to use (one per month):
- January – Movie Date Night
- February – Comedy Show
- March – Elegant Restaurant Date
- April – Zipline Adventure
- May – Sunny Picnic
- June – Beach Weekend (ok, so more than a date night, but I couldn’t resist!)
- July – Dinner Under the Stars
- August – Roller Skating
- September – College Football Game
- October – Scenic Hike
- November – Night on the Town
- December – Performing Arts Center show
I hope you can use some of these suggested date night ideas! If you have any creative ideas of your own, I’d love to hear about them in the comments!

I love that they have hearts because they can represent Valentine’s Day, your love for one another, or even be given from a mother to a child.

Note: The PDF is 2 pages long and prints out on a regular sheet of printer paper.
I recommend using card stock for this.
I personally plan on giving these to my husband in a single envelope but I think they’d be super cute as actual gift tags. They could go so many ways!
