I love Christmas for so many reasons. One of them is it gives me a reason to do Christmas-themed crafts and activities with my kids. I not only love themed playdates, I adore all holiday themed activities in general!
I asked some blogging friends to show me some of their best Christmas themed games, crafts, and activities, and they came up with some awesome stuff! See below for some ideas for family fun over the holidays.
Now that my two oldest kids are getting old enough to sit still long enough to play games, I’m on the hunt for Christmas themed games. Here’s one from The Joys of Boys:
For the littlest one in our family, I think this themed sensory bin from My Bright Firefly is a wonderful activity idea. My little guy would probably play with the cotton balls for an hour! Ahhhh freedom for mommy! 😉
Who doesn’t love having a reason to make cookies?!! I have a real problem with cookie exchanges…I can’t stop eating everything I bring home! I’m still working on a solution to that problem.
These reindeer cookies from Thrifty Jinxy would be perfect for a Christmas cookie exchange I’m attending next week.
If you have a toddler and/or preschooler like I do (( have both), you will like these three Christmas ideas.
Last, but not least, are some awesome Christmas printables! My favorite is this cute printable Santa letter template from Thrifty Northwest Mom! My 4-year-old preschooler will love the printing practice worksheet, and my oldest will get a kick out of the charades.

Twice in recent weeks, I’ve had discussions with other moms on all the CHORES I make my kids do. Yes, I’m that mom!! 🙂 I’m a HUGE believer in childhood chores.
