I used to not get the big deal about apothecary jars! I mean, they are just big glass containers on stands, right?
RIGHT?!!
But one day….it just hit me.
Apothecary jars are GORGEOUS.
They grow on you, kinda like monograms grew on me after several years of living in North Carolina.
I didn’t get that at first, either and then they were everywhere all the time, so it finally clicked. I think I am finally really Southern now!
Which is funny because growing up in TN I thought I was Southern, but NC is a completely different type of Southern! 🙂
Enough of my heritage…let’s move onto the topic of the day – APOTHECARY JARS!!
Apothecary Jar Ideas – Pretty Fillers
The thing is, I wasn’t always sure exactly what to DO with an apothecary jar. I mean, by themselves they are pretty and all…but how do you decorate with an apothecary jar? Where do you put them? What do you put in them if they’re in your ktichen? What if they’re for your bathroom?
It took some trial and error, but I think I’m pretty good at it now! I finally realized that their sole purpose was to be pretty and if they were functional, too, (like they actually held stuff I needed to use), then that was a bonus. lol
