Christmas is coming, and in this house that means one thing. Everything remotely Lego-related in the catalogs get big huge circles as not-so-subtle hints as to what will be on my kids’ Christmas lists.
In fact, Legos are on of my favorite gift ideas for kids ages 7-10! In reality, they have no idea that I am thrilled that they love Legos!
Best Lego Gift Ideas for Kids
In my opinion, Legos are the best gift idea for elementary boys and girls for any holiday, whether it’s Christmas or their birthday! Plus, if you ask my son, Legos are “totally cool” too!
Have a 5, 6, 7, or 8 year old who loves Legos?! Here are 15 MUST HAVE Lego gift ideas for young kid.
Who am I kidding? My brother, who’s 35 LOVES Legos as much as my kids do!
I’m considering getting him one of these specialty sets or even the storage bins below. He seriously needs one of those.
Unique Lego Sets
This awesome Star Wars Lego Set is the perfect for any of your elementary boys and girls that watched the new Star Wars Movie and are now obsessed! Because really, what kid isn’t? This Lego set will keep your kids busy for a while after they open this awesome gift!
Is your kid as obsessed with all things MineCraft as mine is? This Minecraft Lego set is super fun and it will definitely be your kids’ favorite Christmas or birthday present! (It’s literally on its way right now.. Don’t tell my son!)
This Lego set is perfect for the dinosaur lover in your life! My husband is obsessed with Jurassic Park, so we’ve seen this movie 247 times and of course we need the Lego set for the boys!
Lego Minifigures
Every Lego fanatic needs a plethora of Lego Minifigures to play with! This is half of what makes Legos fun! Minifigures can have all sorts of themes. I think this animal / pet set is awesome.
There are even collectible minifigures like these Looney Tunes characters!
Oh my goodness, these are tiny light sabers made for Lego Minifigures. How cute are they?!
Lego Storage
Oh my goodness, this is the ultimate Lego storage solution! You could keep all of a certain color in each drawer, or you could keep them separate by Lego set. Whichever your Lego lover prefers!
This is the most creative idea I’ve ever seen for Lego storage (or really any toy storage)! This is a mat that kids can play on that scoops up all of the toys that they were playing with. You need this in your life!
I love that this Lego storage solution is shaped like a huge Lego brick, and so does my son! If your house is seriously filled with Legos, you could even get one in every color to store the bricks in that color. It would be perfect for the playroom!
Lego Books
This Lego book, The Unofficial Guide to Learning With Lego, has over 100 different Lego activities, and it was written by some of my sweet friends! It’s awesome for lego-loving elementary students! Plus it is available as an eBook which makes an ebook one of many perfect clutter-free gift ideas for older kids!
This book would be the perfect Lego gift to go with the super hero Lego set from earlier in the post! It is an encyclopedia of DC comic characters (in Lego form)! How cool is that?
This book is so cool! It’s full of Lego creation ideas that use every day ordinary bricks. You don’t need to buy any other fancy sets, and it helps get your kids exploring with the Legos to make their own designs! That design expertise will really come in handy if you get a gift that helps with technology for kids!
Lego Tables
If you’ve ever stepped on a Lego (and seriously, what mom hasn’t stepped on a Lego?) you know the extreme need for keeping those sharp suckers off the floor! That’s where an awesome Lego table comes in and rescues your poor feet!
I like this Lego table because it’s espresso colored. It makes it easy to fit into any decor for moms like me who are low on space and need to have their Lego table in a common area!
This Lego table is perfect for the playroom, and I love that it comes with kid-sized chairs. I also think it’s really cool that this table opens, so there’s even more Lego storage!
