Everyone knows a food blogger I am not.
BUT a good party thrower? YES I am!
Lately I’ve been on a huge appetizer kick. We eat appetizers for dinner, my kids take them for school lunch, and I have had entire parties based around appetizers before.
Suffice to say, appetizers are my favorite food category! 🙂
Easy Mini Caprese Skewer Appetizer
I am making these cute caprese skewer appetizers for an upcoming event and thought I’d share them here.
They are perfect for ANY gathering that calls for finger food (might I say that means they’re good for ANY party?!)
I think they’d be super cute for an afternoon baby shower food table.
Can’t you just see these on display calling your name over to them? I’m 100% positive these will be a huge hit at any party or shower because I’ve made them before in a less formal way.
Here is the inspiration photo –
I just love the formality of this display, despite the appetizer being so normal! I love making fancy presentations out of regular food whenever I can.
I just ordered the supplies and will come back when I have my own pics to share!
If you want to recreate this look, here is what you’ll need:
- small bamboo skewers – I got this kind with the small “handle” on the end so they are easy to pick up and hold
- tall shot glasses – I was tempted to order two sets of these adorable little shot glasses because I know I will want to use them for EVERY finger food at my party, but I’m being reasonable and starting with the one set to see how it goes!
